Terms of Use

Effective date: October 8, 2026

1. Scope and acceptance

These terms cover your use of riseros.app (the "Site") and the public demo at demo.riseros.app (the "Demo"), both operated by Vision Business Solutions ("we", "us" or "our"). By using either, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

A company that uses RiserOS for its own business does so under the separate Terms of Service for the software and any written agreement it signs with us. Those control over these terms for that use.

2. General information only

The Site describes our software in general terms. It is not legal, engineering or code compliance advice. Requirements for inspecting, testing and maintaining fire protection systems vary by jurisdiction, occupancy and system, and the authority having jurisdiction decides what applies. References to NFPA standards are for orientation, not an opinion that a form or a practice satisfies any of them.

RiserOS is business administration software. It is not a fire protection, fire alarm, monitoring, dispatch or life-safety system, and it must not be relied on as one.

3. Features and plans

Descriptions of features on the Site were accurate when written. Features described as planned are plans and not commitments, and we may change, delay or drop any of them. The software is in private beta and is not yet generally available.

4. The Demo

  • The Demo contains sample data only. Do not enter real customer, personal, confidential or building access information into it.
  • The Demo is shared and public. Anything you add may be seen by other visitors, and it may be reset or removed at any time without notice.
  • Some features, such as AI research, are limited in the Demo and may be unavailable.
  • We may limit or end access to the Demo at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Site or the Demo to break the law, to probe, attack or overload them, to attempt to reach another organization's data, to scrape them in bulk, or to interfere with anyone else's use. We may block access that does.

6. Ownership

The Site's text, design, software and the RiserOS name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may link to the Site and quote it briefly with attribution. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.

7. No warranty

The Site and the Demo are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Site or the Demo. Our total liability for any claim relating to them is limited to one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to them will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fayette County, Kentucky, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its effective date, is the one that applies when you use the Site or the Demo.
